Carey Giddens

Carey is a very experienced Sport & Remedial Massage Therapist and Educator In Training with ACE who is based in New Zealand.

His education in manual therapy started in 2000 where he began his studies in the Diploma of Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy. Since then, he has also completed qualifications in Health Coaching, Sports Nutrition, and Clinical Nutrition.

Carey has managed allied health clinics both in Australia and New Zealand as well as previously owning his own physiotherapy company in his hometown of Hamilton NZ.

Over the last few years Carey has added extensively to his skill set and now delivers a varied and unique service which has taken him away from traditional massage. Due to his varied skill set, Carey is now more described as a “manual therapist with a special interest in sports injuries focusing on muscle, joint, and nerve pain”. Or as Carey calls it… “a mixed bag of lollies”.

Carey also has a clinical interest in TMJ and Shoulder pain and works with CrossFit athletes, powerlifters, Olympic lifters, and general gym goers, as well as a wide range of other clients.

Carey’s further passion is in delivering education. “In the last couple of years, I’ve had the most amazing opportunity and privilege to assist in delivering ACE courses to other allied health clinicians. Being part of the ACE family and getting to deliver such evidence based practical courses has not only filled my tank as an educator but also enabled me to learn so much from instructors and participants alike!”.

“As the saying goes… If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life! I truly love manual therapy and educating others. I get to enjoy what I do each and every day, and I get to help others. It doesn’t get much better!”
